Alipurduar is one of the districts of West Bengal in the area of North Bengal. The district was bifurcated from Jalpaiguri in the year 2014. There are two stations, New Alipurduar and Alipurduar Junction. It covers 9.8 square kilometres with swampy weather during rainfall and moderate heat. Alipurduar has an estimated population of 1,27,300 with coordinates of 26° 29' 30.801" N 89° 31' 37.569" E. Bengali, Hindi and English are widely spoken.

Alipurduar is served by the Alipurduar Municipality and the Jaigaon Development Authority.
