Betul is a municipality within the southern Madhya Pradesh region. It is an administrative hub of the Betul District while being a part of the Bhopal Division. The area of Betul was mapped at 193 square kilometers while the population was 153,330 people in 2011. Hindi is widely spoken here in Betul. The area was earlier called Badnur and the current name comes from the nearby district which had its name from its previous headquarters at the iconic Betul Bazar. The coordinates of the locality are 21.9012° N, 77.8960° E.
