Madanapalle is a city within the District of Annamayya in Andhra Pradesh. It is the biggest city in the entire District while being a selection-grade municipal city council as well. It is also headquarters to the Madanapalle Mandal and Revenue Division, in addition to the PKM Urban Development Authority. The city was established in 1618 AD by Sri Maadanna. The area is governed by the PKMUDA Municipal Corporation and covers 14.20 square kilometers in all. The population stands at 180,180 people as of the year 2011. The coordinates of the area are 13.55°N 78.50°E.
