Sawaimadhopur is a city located in the Sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan. It is the municipal corporation of the district and its administrative headquarter. The Ranthambore National Prak is a famous site 7km from the Ranthambore fort. This site is included under UNESCO heritage site.
The city was named by Maharaja Madho Singh I of Jaipur, and he built the city. The city has its foundation day on 19th January. Geographically, the city is in the southeastern part of Rajasthan. It is 1211 kilometres from Jaipur towards its southeastern part.
With 121,106 population, there are 53% of males and 47% of females. Its average literacy rate of 79.44%. People here commonly speak Hindi, English, and Dhundari.
