Chhota Udepur is a city cum municipality in the District of Chhota Udaipur in Gujarat. It is also the administrative headquarters of the district. It was once the capital of the Chhota Udaipur princely State, which was founded by Rawal Udeysinhji in 1743. The population stood at 27,166 people in 2001 while the languages spoken here include Hindi and Gujarati. One of the biggest landmarks here is the Kali Niketan or Nahar Mahal Palace. The Rathwas and their Pithora paintings are famous here as well. The Chhota Udepur museum is also located here. The coordinates of the area are 22.3085° N, 74.0120° E.
