Mehsana or Mahesana is a leading municipality cum city in the District of Mehsana and lies in the State of Gujarat as well. It was founded in the 14th century and was once ruled by the Gaekwads of the State of Baroda from the 18th century onwards. The municipality was founded in 1919-20.
