Ayanavaram or Ayanpuram is a suburban area located in the northern part of Chennai. It is one of the developed neighbourhoods and is famous for the beautiful waterfalls. It covers 4.61 square kilometres in hot and humid weather and receives the least amount of rainfall in February. Ayanavaram has an estimated population of 76584 with coordinates of 13°06′00″N 80°13′59″E. Tamil and English are widely spoken.
