Pathanamthitta is a municipality in the Central Travancore region of Kerala, spread over 23.50 square kilometers. With a population of 11,97,412, it is the 13th revenue district of Kerala. It is famous as the headquarter of pilgrimage tourism in the state. It is near the Western ghats, with hills by all its sides. This district has borders with Kottayam, Kollam, and Allepey districts in Kerala.
