Warangal is a city located in Telangana, and it is its district headquarter. With 830 281 population, this city is the second-largest in the state and is spread over 406 square kilometres. The place has Kakatiya Dynasty as its capital, and it came into being in 1163. Telugu is the official language of the district.

The road is easily connected to major ones with national and state highways. It includes national highway 163, which connects the district with Hyderabad, and NH 563 connects Ramagundam and Khammam. Moreover, state highway 3 connects with various destinations such as Warangal and Hanamkonda.
Warangal’s airport is built on Mamnoor in 1930 and is one of the largest in the area. It is operational as a training center, and there is no commercial service here.
Both private and government educational institutes are present in Warangal. Some are Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science, Kakatiya Medical College, Kakatiya University, SR Engineering College, and Vaagdevi College of Engineering. The list of schools includes Platinum Jubilee High School, Delhi Public School, Warangal, St. Gabriel's High School, and Srinivasa Ramanujan Concept School.
The Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hospital is considered the largest in the city and serves the people of Khammam, Adilabad, and Karimnagar.
