Kashmere Gate or otherwise known as Kashmiri Gate, is situated in Old Delhi. The gate was named as it stood at the beginning of a road that routed to Kashmir and was constructed by Emperor Shah Jahan. Kashmere Gate is one of Shahjahanabad's original gates. This gate had been utilized by the British to bar the rebels from accessing the city. The Delhi Junction railway station, Red Fort, and Kashmere Gate ISBT are close by. It is now also the name of the neighborhood in North Delhi and a significant traffic junction. Kashmere Gate is also home to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and one of the nation's oldest General Post Offices. Kashmere gate are very clean and safe place where you can reach easily many shops and malls also there is nearby metro stations and bus stands. Education instituitions are also here who give great quality of education and locality are very nice such as there are no power cuts and supply of water are also nice....read more
