Kullu is a leading town and municipal council which is also the administrative headquarters of the District of Kullu in Himachal Pradesh. It lies on the Beas River’s banks in the Kullu Valley and is roughly 10 km northwards from the airport at Bhuntar. The Kullu Valley is formed by the river between Larji and Manali. The entire landscape is dotted with beautiful pine trees and deodar forests as well. The Valley lies between the Lower and Greater Himalayan Mountain Ranges along with the Pir Panjal Range. It lies at an elevation of 1,279 meters. The total population of Kullu stands at 18,536 people as of the year 2011. The coordinates of Kullu are 31.95°N 77.11°E.
