Sonbhadra, also known as Sonbhadra, is the second-largest district of Uttar Pradesh. This district borders four other districts: Chattisgarh to its south, Madhya Pradesh to the west, Bihar to the north-east, and Jharkhand to the southeast. Spread over 6,788 square kilometres, it lies towards the south-eastern part of the state. It has Mirzapur on its northwest, Chandauli towards the north, and Kaimur Rohtas towards the northeast.
The property rate is rupees 1,818 to 2,766, whereas the average rate is rupees 2,292. Almost 83.9% of the population speaks Hindi, 14.6% speak Bhojpuri, 5000 people speak Gondi, and around 1800 speak Kurukh, a tribal language.
