Ramnagar is a town and municipal board, located at Nainital district of Kumaon. This district is 65 km from its district headquarters at Nainital. It is the gateway to Corbett National Park, one of the popular and oldest tourist places. In addition, migratory birds are seen here on the river Barrage. The place is at 29.40°N 79.12°E with an elevation of 345 metres at the foothills of the Himalayas on Kosi River. The total population is 190,635, among which 46511 are females, and 58408 are males.
