Ghaziabad is one of the cities in Uttar Pradesh and is also a part of the National Capital Region of Delhi. The city is the largest in western UP. It is also called the “Saya of Uttar Pradesh” because of its proximity to Delhi. It covers 210 square kilometres with similar temperature and rainfall as Delhi. Ghaziabad has an estimated population of 1,729,000 with coordinates of 28°40'8.96"N 77°27'13.53"E. Hindi and English are widely spoken.

Ghaziabad is served by the GMC or the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation or the GNN (Ghaziabad Nagar Nigam) and the GDA or the Ghaziabad Development Authority.
